Eleanor Heavens
I am a Psychosexual Counsellor at the Heath Sexual Health Clinic at Croydon University Hospital. I am also a qualified couple and individual psychotherapist working as a visiting clinician at Tavistock Relations. In addition I see clients in private practice in Central London.
In the past I have worked as an NHS midwife and health visitor for over 20 years. This gave me the opportunity to work closely with patients and families from diverse backgrounds, and I saw how central relationships were too many people’s lives. Sex and intimacy is an important part of our adult relationships, and I aim to offer an emphatic approach where we can understand better the issues impacting your sexual functioning.
My training and education includes - PG Dip / MA Couple and Individual Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy; MSc Community Health; PG Dip Community Health Nursing – Health Visiting; BSc (Hons) Midwifery; Diploma Nursing.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a student member of the College of Sexual & Relationship Therapists (COSRT).
